Friendship Circle Prayer

Almighty God,
who made each day to be lived to the full –
Please bless all older people.
Give us all that we need for friendship, comfort and leisure.
Above all give us true joy, living one day at a time,
Freed from anxieties with peace in our hearts,
Trusting in Jesus Christ our Lord,

Thursdays we have Open Doors

On Thursdays, we throw open the doors to the church from 9.30am to 12.30pm, put on the kettle for tea, and warm up the coffee. Bring your knitting, reading, use our internet, or just come for a chat. It’s a very informal place for the wider community to gather.

Hospital Visiting

Chaplaincy and Pastoral Support Services are offered at the Wesley Hospital provides patients, staff, and family support and comfort in times of special need. Visiting is offered at Greenslopes Private Hospital by 2 parishioners. Please contact us for more information.

Prison visiting

The Anglican Church is committed to have chaplains represented in all the correction centres in Queensland, and my calling to become involved in Prison Ministry began over 5 years ago and was the beginning of a totally new chapter in my Christian journey. My allocated day is Thursday each week and every 6th Sunday to conduct 3 Chapel Services.

I am always so grateful for the support of St. Marks and know as I enter the centre there are people praying for my safety and the work I do and as well knowing I have God also protecting me and assisting me in finding the best words to use in each situation.
